Şaşılık genellikle gözlerdeki açı farklılığından anlaşılır; gözler içe, dışa, yukarı veya aşağı kayabilir. Bebeklerde ise 4 aylık iken belirli nesnelere odaklanma sırasında gözlerin hizalı olması beklenir, 6 aylıkken uzaktaki nesnelere odaklanma da kontrol edilerek erken dönemde teşhis edilebilir.

Şaşılık Tamamen Düzelir Mi?

Şaşılık tedavisi sürecinde hastanın yaşı, şaşılık tipi ve görme bozukluğunun derecesi büyük önem taşır. Doğru yöntem seçildiğinde çok iyi sonuçlar elde edilebilir. Ancak şaşılığın kendiliğinden düzelmesi beklenmez. Bazı tiplerde erken dönemde gözlükle tedaviye başlanabilir; fakat gözlük her tip göz kayması için uygun değildir. Gözlük kullanımına rağmen kayma devam ediyorsa, göz kaslarının düzeltilmesi için ameliyat gereklidir. Yetişkinlerde başarılı sonuç için doğru teşhis şarttır.

Assoc. Prof. Halil Hüseyin Çağatay was born in the Tarsus district of Mersin. He completed his primary, middle, and high school education in Mersin. He completed his medical education at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine between 1999 and 2005. He completed his specialty training at Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital between 2005 and 2009. He has been seeing his patients in his clinic in Izmir since 2018.

Smart Lens Surgery

Smart lenses are a treatment method we apply primarily for our patients who are generally over forty and have diminishing near and far vision. In this treatment process, we place a lens, namely a 'smart lens', which is permanently positioned in the inner part of the eye. The most suitable age group for a permanent smart lens are individuals over 40 whose near vision ability has weakened. Especially in cases of reduced near vision ability between the ages of 40-50, many of our patients are able to regain their quality of vision at both far and near distances with the smart lens operation.
